Offering Psychotherapy for Adults and Adolescents

  • What my practice has taught me:
Chronic stress and emotional distress are common experiences that negatively impact many of my adolescent and adult clients. Many of them find themselves feeling stuck and needing something to change. If this rings true for you, I can support you in healing emotional wounds, creating new routines and ways of being, and balancing the body to help you feel better and reconnect with yourself.
  • What I do:
I provide individual and group psychotherapy to adults and adolescents. I treat people who are dealing with challenges related to anxiety disorders, depression, substance use, traumatic experiences, and emotional pain from their families of origin. Using a variety of treatment modalities, I help individuals with managing uncertainty, accepting and tolerating discomfort, reducing stress, and increasing agency and overall wellness. I specialize in supporting personal caregivers, parents and adult children providing care to family members, and professional caregivers, such as doctors, nurses, psychotherapists, and teachers. As a parent, psychotherapist, and educator, I understand the impact of caring for others, managing multiple responsibilities all at once, and trying to maintain my own wellbeing. Through my personal and professional experiences, I assist caregivers in developing a better understanding of what they need and how to make it happen so that they can restore and maintain their own mental and physical health.
  • My approach:
I believe in cultivating a supportive and collaborative partnership to help with your current circumstances and propel you toward your goals. Through connection and compassion, you will be able to increase your self-awareness and make choices about how you want to respond to your experiences. Using various resources and strategies, you will be an active participant in your treatment and develop the skills you need to provide yourself with effective self-care so that you can experience good health and healing.
